Mrs Jyoti Rana, is a dynamic administrator and a committed educator with over 26 years of experience. She has served as the Head of some of the top schools like Army Public School Noida, Jaipuria Vidyalaya, and Ryan International Schools. With a Bachelors in Education from the prestigious Lady Irvin College, Delhi University, she also holds a Masters in English and a Bachelors in Home Science. Mrs. Rana holds a certificate from IIM Kozhikode for attending Leadership 4.0 Workshop : Retreat for High Potential Leaders. Her extensive experience and educational expertise towards a learner centred approach, give her an edge in providing a wholesome leadership and support to her learners and facilitators.

A true leader with a warm persona, Mrs. Jyoti Rana strongly believes in building a culture of integrity, empathy, transparency, and above all, accountability. A facilitator at heart with an innovative mind-set, she is a strong proponent of life-long learning. She has made it her life’s mission to support learners through new and innovative methodologies to encourage curiosity and problem-solving by creating an environment that caters to the varied needs of each learner and nurtures them into inspired and innovative adults.

A passionate academician and a dedicated leader, Mrs. Jyoti Rana is the recipient of a letter of appreciation from the HRD Minister, Mrs. Smriti Irani for outstanding CBSE Board results and high academic standard of her students. She has been felicitated by Indian National Bar Association in a program titled “Phenomenal SHE” and her name is featured in the Coffee Table book along with 100 other women. She received the coveted ‘GOC-in-C’ Commendation Card by Army Commander, Western Command on Army Day in 2023, in the civilian category. She was felicitated with ‘Credent Shikshak Ratan’ Award by Credent TV as well as ‘Excellence in Education’ Award by Simply Jaipur Magazine. Mrs. Rana was felicitated with ‘Tejaswini Award’ – On International Women’s Day by Biyani Group of Colleges.

She has served as Board Representative, CBSE for NAS (National Achievement Survey) in 2020. She is a key member of the Management committees of prestigious schools in Gautam Budh Nagar and an active speaker at various Universities and Colleges for Teacher Training as well as educational forums.

Mrs. Jyoti Rana is wonderfully approachable, pleasant, sincere and a caring human being. She is constantly working towards building an ecosystem for her learners to develop into compassionate, reflective global citizens deeply rooted in our Indian ethos.

As I take over the responsibility of the Head of School, I feel delighted to be a part of the TSUS family. I truly believe that the role of an educator is that of a facilitator who helps ignite young minds and then consciously kindles that flame of curiosity and creativity though her/his gentle ways! Thus, valuing the unique individuality of each child. In my view each child has a potential which needs to be identified, nurtured, and adequately challenged to bring out the best in her/him. The mission of The Shri Ram Universal School is well aligned with this thought. The joyful and nurturing environment of TSUS inspires its learners to approach the world confidently and compassionately! Thus, vowing to build the “four Cs” of 21st century learning, critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity!

This quote sums up the role of education beautifully! It is not about teaching students the facts or just imparting knowledge but is to raise Life Long Learners! A true educator at heart, Ms. Roy has worked in several domains and strives towards making learning exciting and engaging for the students. A versatile, meticulous, extremely patient and committed academician, Ms. Roy endeavours towards providing varied learning experiences to her students, going beyond their curriculum at times. Her love for the students, and her passion for their development is unparallel. Having worked at The Shri Ram School (TSRS), Vasant Vihar for more than two decades, she is an ambassador of Shri ethos and values, which she embodies in all spheres of her life. During her tenure of 22 years at TSRS, she undertook various academic / administrative roles and responsibilities, bringing her creative touch to each one of these! Apart from being an educator, Ms. Roy is also a qualified IT professional and has served in the corporate world for seven years.

Her dedication and passion towards shaping young minds has earned her the two most prestigious awards of The Shri Ram Schools. She was awarded the most coveted Manju Bharat Ram Educator Award (2019-20), which was instituted to recognize and honor unusual dedication and outstanding contributions, above and beyond the normal call of duty. She was also awarded Meenu Mathur Award for Distinguished Contribution to Primary Education in the year 2011-12. Ms. Roy’s warm and pleasant demeanor earns her love and respect from children and adults, alike.
